Telepoint Joins the Sound of Money 2023

"The Sound of Money" is among the most recognizable and established economic and financial conferences in Bulgaria, attracting internationally recognized economists, finance managers, and business leaders over the years. The discussion panels cover a wide range of topics, including banks, capital markets, real estate, ESG strategies, financial management, and entrepreneurship. The event's audience includes representatives from senior management in both the private and public sectors, as well as professionals from various fields.

Participating this year is the Bulgarian Data Center "Telepoint". Founded in 2007 by leading specialists in IT and the telecommunications industry, "Telepoint" is a highly technological company operating fully redundant, neutral Tier 3+ data centers (completely independent), providing high-quality services in various geographical locations.

A Wide Range of Services

With over 15 years of experience, ISO 9001:2015 quality certification, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 information security management system, and PCI DSS certification for storing and processing cardholder data, "Telepoint" has established itself over the years as a regional internet exchange center (peering point) and a reliable provider of various data center services.

The company offers a wide range of collocation models, ranging from individual server space in a shared rack to client halls for subletting. Additionally, there are options for flexible expansion of the necessary space and power, with individual power consumption tracking for each rack.

The extensive variety of server and telecommunication racks can meet the diverse needs of clients, offering even cost-effective shared collocation racks (1U to 48U) or options for 1/4, 1/2 racks with individual locking. For partners with larger capabilities and a need for higher security levels, the data centers provide options for renting private cages, small and large collocation halls. An innovative service is the offering of equipped rooms based on an irrevocable right of use, allowing companies to capitalize on their technological expenses for a chosen period. The core service is complemented by a rich set of additional ones.

Mutual connectivity is a fast and flexible way to build connections that provide access to over 135 internet operators worldwide and more than 500 business clients available directly in the data center. Specialized rooms (MMRs) are used as the main connection points, allowing for express connections with a construction period of under 8 hours.

Optical Cabling – Telepoint has available experienced technicians who can install any optical connectivity for their clients within and outside the data center.

Remote support from engineers experienced in server systems and telecommunications equipment saves time and costs, both during installation and emergencies. The teams are available to perform basic equipment operations 24/7, eliminating the need for the client to send their own teams or maintain them.

With the "Satellite Signal Rental" service, the company offers a selection of the most common satellite signals available in Europe and the Middle East. A prepared antenna field allows for easy and quick deployment of a personal satellite antenna.

Connectivity to Global Internet Networks and Security

"Telepoint" hosts over 35 international providers with its own global IP network and more than 100 regional and local companies that maintain high-security standards. Many of these companies also offer internet securities of a different class according to the client's needs.

Classic protection against major risks from natural disasters such as fires, floods, and earthquakes, infrastructure issues such as power outage or malfunction of the cooling systems, as well as safeguard against hacker attacks, is well integrated into the company's infrastructure.

For example, fire safety is entrusted to modern environmentally neutral IG-55 fire extinguishing gas agents. The VESDA system, Cerberus type (electronic tip), provides instant detection of highly heated elements and notifies before an actual ignition. Fire-resistant doors to collocation halls, smoke and fire sensors in the double floor and ceiling, as well as remote monitoring complement the overall system.

In the event of a power grid failure, the company's data centers are equipped with diesel generators, independent UPS groups (N+1) 220V alternating current, independent groups (N+1) -48V direct current, providing autonomous operation for days and weeks, if necessary.

Cooling in collocation halls is entrusted to top-class Vertiv (Liebert) systems, reserved N+1 cooling installations for each collocation hall, an energy-efficient (free cooling) system, reserved N+1 air humidification system, designed cooling for each cabinet. The cooling systems purify both the air and its moisture, ensuring the equipment maintains its working condition even after 10-15 years of continuous operation.
